Ronda Rousey: From JUDO to MMA

Hi audience!!!
If you have ever thought that a girl can't kick your ass you may change your mind when you meet my special guest: Ronda Rousey
Don't let her lie to you, because behind that beautiful face is hidden a true "femme fatale" :D

This young girl (born February 1, 1987, Riverside County, California) has had a successful Judo career getting several World Championship and Olympic Medals (Gold at the 2004 Junior WJC in Budapest, Silver at the 2007 Absolut WJC in Rio, and Bronze at the 2008 OG in Beijing), all of them at the middleweight class (-70 Kg).
After this, Rousey made her mixed martial arts debut as an amateur on August 6, 2010 and she jumped up to  professional on March 27, 2011 at King of the Cage: Turning Point. Due to her short MMA career you could think she's a rookie, but for sure her opponents shouldn't think the same. Since she's started to fight in the cage she hasn't lost any fight, even more she has won every combat by stunning submissions in record times. When you see her video, please take a look at how easily gets JUJI GATAME to make her rivals tap on the floor, in my opinion... totally amazing!!!
If you like to watch two ladys fighting every now and again, this woman is your woman, but pay attention because if you blink Ronda probably has already won the fight.

Finally, with you, Ronda Rousey in action:

The Power of a Choke

Looking for some stuff on youtube, I'm found this video by chance and I think it's so funny.
Normally, I think these kind of TV shows are so sensationalist even though I find them very entertaining :D So take a look please, because in this one, they show you how easy getting someone slept is, something that judokas really know. Here you have the power of a choke by Fedor Emelinenko in Sport Science. Enjoy it!

Hello again everybody!!! I'm back to business, sorry for my absence during these weeks but I was pretty busy and I didn't have much time to pay attention to this blog.

Last Friday, I had the opportunity to watch “WARRIOR” and I must be honest I’m still vibing!!! I loved it and I really really had a good time with it. If you are MMA or whatever fighting sport fan you are going to enjoy it for sure, it’s exciting, the fights are incredible, it has very emotional moments, in addition, you will able to see very good performances. I really recommend it, honestly. I’m not going tell you what the plot is, even though if you want to have a look, here you have the trailer.

The thing is that… after watching this film I felt like writing about a classical question that every fighter or even everyone has ever asked himself: Which martial art is the best? I mean, in my case, what can I take from Judo to be the best fighter, to be unbeatable? Typical questions, aren’t they?
